She is the author of the picture books, "Grandma Grandma Brave and Tall", "Motherland, Sweet Motherland" and the Tippy Tappy Katkins series. Her picture books have been described as timeless and lyrical, with a folklorist's sense of wonder, even when writing about sensitive social topics such as family life and belonging.
