Residing in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest in the quaint town of Diwan, Robyn's world is surrounded by the majestic presence of tall fan palms and ancient rainforest trees. A lover of the arts in all their forms, from music to painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and storytelling, she finds inspiration in the rich tapestry of nature that envelops her home. A perpetual student of new concepts, Robyn actively seeks to embrace innovative ideas that enrich her creative pursuits. Her artistic endeavours often manifest as watercolour gouache paintings, meticulously layered over pencil sketches. The intricate process of creating the illustrations for Grandpa and Joey's First Ride, took three to four months, evolving dynamically as new animal characters found their place within the artwork, seamlessly intertwining with the unfolding narrative.The motivation behind my storytelling endeavours is deeply personal - a desire to contribute to the education of my new grandson, and in turn, play a part in my son's growing family. Through my work, I aspire to offer an immersive experience to my audience, inviting them to join Grandpa and Joey on a captivating journey of discovery, all presented in a delightful and entertaining manner. My fondness for writing expands beyond storytelling, encompassing the realm of short stories and adaptations. Currently exploring script writing, I am excited about the potential for new creative ventures in this medium. Looking ahead, a follow-up tale involving Joey's expanding family is on the horizon. With a new sibling on the way, Nanna is poised for another adventure in babysitting, promising more heartwarming narratives to come.
