Everyone knows grandparents and their grandchildren have a magical bond-but why? In this lyrical, heartwarming, and funny story, a "silly old" grandfather who loves solving puzzles cracks the code in a way that will have kids smiling and and parents and grandparents feeling a lump in their throats. Join grandfather and granddaughter as they put together the pieces of the puzzle: 1. How BIG is a grandparent's love? I've loved your mom--we all know it's true, Since she was a child, just like you. And I've loved you since you came to be, A budding new branch on our family tree. So...my feelings for you are really for two-- The love for HER plus the love for YOU! 2. Where is all that love kept? Is there a secret part of the heart? Does it sit around? Does it snooze or sleep? Does it sneeze or wheeze or quietly creep? 3. Does it keep growing? Yes! Because of the wonderful things you do. When I read a book and you nestle near, When you tell a joke that I love to hear. When we walk along, and I hear you sing, And I hold your hand...that's my favorite thing! If you have one grandchild or seventeen, this book will touch your soul.

Autorenporträt
After turning 60, Bruce Vierck made a decision that "a lot of young people his age do." He jettisoned a career in corporate America, joined the gig economy, and dove headfirst into something he loves -creative writing. Bruce writes children's books that make children, parents, and grandparents smile, learn, or appreciate the beauty of life and human relationships. He gives credit to his mother for his lifelong love of books. She was a woman who loved storytelling, but as the mom of seven children, her limited time aside from the logistics of parenting was spent drafting witty articles for the local newspaper and crafting funny quips that she would drop into her children's lunch bags. With several more books on the horizon, this, Bruce's first book, is focused on his favorite gig -- being a grandfather.
