Grant Munro (born 15 September 1980 in Inverness) is a Scottish professional footballer playing for Scottish First Division League side Ross County. Munro signed on a schoolboy "S" form in 1998 and made his first team debut for Caley Thistle on 2 January 1999 in a 2-1 Scottish Cup defeat by Livingston. He completed periods on loan to Fort William and Elgin City before returning to Caley Thistle, and since 2002 has commanded a regular place in the team's defence. As a tall, strong central defender, Munro has played an important part in many of Caley Thistle's most memorable games. He played in central defence during Caley Thistle's 3-1 Scottish Cup defeat of Hearts at Tynecastle in January 2002, as well as being part of the team that beat Celtic in 2003.
