Katherine F.H. Heart, GPC, M.Ed., President of Heart Resources, LLC, received her Master of Education degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984. A graduate course in Grant Writing and Fundraising launched her into a lifetime of dedicated service to the nonprofit sector. Katherine developed, marketed and managed nonprofit fitness, health promotion and mental health training programs for 15 years. She was a certified advocate and training manager at two leading victim services agencies. She published creative non-fiction articles and in her late forties, Katherine became a technical writer and product development manager for a psychology consulting firm. She has completed more than 200 hours of continuing education in technical writing, grant research, grant proposal writing, and budgeting with leading national trainers such as The Grantsmanship Center Inc., the Foundation Center of New York, and grant author Dr. Beverly Browning. Katherine founded Heart Resources, LLC in 2005. Her company provides grant services to improve quality of life in Western Pennsylvania (See www.heartresources.net). Katherine is a member of the Grant Professionals Association (GPA), and was Founding President of the GPA-Western Pennsylvania Chapter. Katherine has earned the Grant Professional Certified (GPC) credential from the Grant Professional Certification Institute and was the first person to be recognized as a GPA Approved Trainer.GranteprenurTM is her second book
