Perlentaucher-Notiz zur FR-Rezension
Daniel Kothenschulte zeigt sich einigermaßen beeindruckt angesichts dieses "Buchklotzes", der eine "imposante Übersicht über hundert Designer der Gegenwart" ist und der zudem auch ein gewisses "Retro-Vergnügen" biete, da sich viele der präsentierten Graphiker von heute deutlich an der Vergangenheit orientieren. Es zeige sich allerdings auch, dass es das Avantgardedesign heute wie früher immer noch nicht in den Bereich der Großindustrie geschafft habe. Stattdessen geriere sich die Designavantgarde als bildende Kunst, ohne dass sie sich tatsächlich mit ihr vereine, wie Kothenschulte feststellen muss.
