Most low and middle-income African states like Uganda are grappling with the inherent socio-economic, environmental, and political challenges of attaining the UN 2030 SDGs. While some African states have made giant socio-economic, political, and environmental forward strides, many more economies have stagnated or declined over the past (lost) decades of political upheavals and socio-economic turbulences which have persisted hitherto. The book uses glaring examples to point out how basic the problems are in the following five chapters.
