Southern born, from the foothills of the North Carolina mountains, Mary Emma Tisinger now calls the flatlands of Delaware home. Having fallen in love with books before learning to read, she now hopes to share the joy of the written word, and the magic of storyland, with others through her poetry and other writings. Mother of three and grandmother of three, she has worked with children in public school and in church school. At home in Dover, she keeps busy as a volunteer in her church, club, and the community--in addition to her writing. Her poetry and other writings have appeared in various magazines, publications and books.
