he demand for a current edition of this book, first printed in 2016, is so great, that we have decided to make this Second Edition available four years earlier than planned. This book includes the 2016 season and an outlook for a positive future for PSU Football. The book is written for those of us who love Penn State Football. Those who hate PSU football will also want this book so they can get a leg up on the facts missing from the bookshelves of those PSU fans who do not have this book. The book first tells the story about Penn State's founding in 1855 and quickly gets to the first American football game in 1867. From there, the progression leads, to the Penn State's first football game in 1881, then to the first Penn State Football coach George Hoskins in 1892, and of course to the great immortal Penn State coaches-Hugo Bezdek, Bob Higgins, Rip Engle, and Joe Paterno-to the current season Coach James Franklin. This book captures the great moments in Penn State Football. It takes the reader through stories about Penn State's 17 coaches to great stories about 128 seasons worth of great games (1272 games). The book often stops in time and talks about a particular player such as John Cappelletti, Franco Harris, Chuck Fusina, Jack Ham, Jimmy Cefalo, Todd Blackledge, and Lydell Mitchell. You will not be able to put this book down.
