The remix of "El Lute" on this compilation which features synth percussion overdubs appears as the original version on a number of compilations including Gold - 20 Super Hits in 1992, The Greatest Hits in 2001 and The Magic of Boney M. in 2006. The Boney M. reunion of 1988 had been a tense meeting between lead singer Liz Mitchell and the other three members. When Liz Mitchell also had a solo album out that she wanted to promote, she left the group in the spring of 1989.
