'I put no name to those feelings, that frantic, carnal energy. I subsumed it all into my play, into what mattered, what would come to define and save me.' Praise for The Art of the Body: 'What a brilliant book! I tore through it. Brutal, tender, philosophical, visceral, complex and so well written. This is one of those books that sneaks under your skin and expands you. Sheer brilliance.' Emma Jane Unsworth 'A bold, unflinching debut . . . Finely written and thoughtfully devised' Guardian 'Raw and powerful' Image
