Emily Mackil (Ph.D. Princeton University, 2003) is Professor of History at the University of California, Berkeley. She is the author of Creating a Common Polity: Religion, Economy, and Politics in the Making of the Greek Koinon (Berkeley, 2013). Nikolaos Papazarkadas (DPhil Oxford, 2004) is the Nicholas C. Petris Professor of Greek Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a senior editor of SEG and co-editor of From Document to History: Epigraphic Insights into the Greco-Roman World (Brill, 2019).
