The projected demand for substantial financial outlays, especially into infrastructure projects across developing countries, implicitly calls for valuable contribution from large numbers of investors, finance managers, lawyers, consultants, and public sector officials in building, operating and regulating such projects. Such specialists need to be adequately equipped to structure transactions so as to maximize the value derived from such investments, and to minimize risk of under-utilization of the asset or failure of the venture. In addition, environmental sustainability is crucial to launching infrastructure and other such large projects in contemporary circumstances. This volume pays special attention to various aspects of Project Finance in the context of environmentally sustainable projects.
