Autorenporträt
William Henry Hudson (1841-1922) was a writer, naturalist, and ornithologist. He is the author of such books as Far Away and Long Ago, Hampshire Days, Afoot in England, The Purple Land, and A Shepherd's Life, which helped foster the back-to-nature movement of the 1920s and 1930s. Born in Argentina, he settled in England in 1874 where he lived for the rest of his life.
