This book proposes transformative, realist methodology for skills research and planning through an analysis of case studies of the changing world of work, new learning pathways and educational system challenges. Studies of the green economy and sustainability transitions are a growing field internationally, however there are few books that link this interest to the development of skills. Eureta Rosenberg is the Chair of Environment and Sustainability Education and Director of the Environmental Learning Research Centre at Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South Africa. Presha Ramsarup is the Director at the Centre for Researching Education and Labour, University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. Heila Lotz-Sisitka is a DST/NRF Chair of Global Change and Social Learning Systems and a Distinguished Professor in the Environmental Learning Research Centre at Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South Africa.
