'Grenier Air Base: A Beacon on the Home Front' is a non-fiction historical account of an air base that existed from 1941 to 1966 on the site of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. Where passengers wait for their flights today, crews on heavy bombers took off for the European theatre of war, sometimes never to return. This extensive military installation rose up almost overnight and was gone in a few short decades. This book, a project of the Aviation Museum of N.H., tells the stories of those who served at Grenier.
