A fuzzy based MPPT controller is used to extract the maximum power point of the PV array. A feed forward controller is implemented for the bidirectional ac-dc converter to reduce the harmonics in AC line current to maintain a good current waveform and dc voltage regulation in both inverter and rectifier operating modes.The proposed feed forward controller gives better performance in harmonic reduction compared with conventional controller. The total harmonic distortion in AC line current is reduced by 1.36% during inverter mode, similarly 11.29% during rectifier mode. The proposed feed-forward controller provides a larger fundamental output voltage in inverter mode.
