This book describes research done on a major viral disease of groundnuts (Arachis hypogaea Linn) in sub-Saharan Africa, Groundnut rosette disease (GRD). This research work describes the occurrence, distribution and molecular characterization of Groundnut rosette assistor virus (GRAV) causing Groundnut rosette disease (GRD) in western Kenya. The extensive field survey, greenhouse screening, RT-PCR and Next Generation Sequencing were done on the groundnut crop and other leguminous hosts mainly cultivated in western Kenya plus Solanaceous Golden Berry (Physalis peruviana Linn).
