I am currently certified as a K-12 interrelated special education teacher; school social worker K-12, and reading specialist K-12. My career has also included clinical social work in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have received numerous professional licenses and certifications throughout my career, beginning in 1974.Educationally, I have an ED.S (education specialist in administration and supervision) from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee, and a special education certification in learning disabilities from the University of West Georgia, in Carrollton, Georgia. My master's degree in social service is from Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and my Bachelor of Science degree is from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama.My goal as a children's author is to reach out via my books, to engage children with their character development and socialization skills. My books are exciting and motivating and leave children with something to think about regarding their lives and/or the lives of their friends.Hopefully, children will also consider their future and to strive to reach their highest potential.
