Sarath Jayanatha ist ein Wissenschaftler, der in Sri Lanka Studien zur Genetik, Aquakultur und Fischereibiologie durchführt. Er hat mehrere Buchkapitel über den Fischereisektor in Sri Lanka veröffentlicht. Derzeit arbeitet er für die NARA, die nationale Forschungsabteilung des Fischereiministeriums. Dieses Thema ist für den Aquakultursektor besonders wichtig.
