These dynasties struggle with each other to strengthened and consolidated there Kingdoms. Among the dynasties the Rayas of Vijayanagar defeated the Sulthans of Madhurai, the Reddies of Kondavidu and Rajahmundry, the Velamas of Rachakonda and Devarakonda, the Bahamanis of Gulbarga. The Rayas of Vijayanagar defeated the Gajapatis of Orissa during the time of Krishnadevaraya and made alliances with them. The Rayas subdued the Mainer dynasties that ruled south India particularly the Andhra and Tamil countries and founded a strong Hindu empire in South India.
