Kalyani Manthri nació en Rampur, un pequeño pueblo rodeado de tierras agrícolas en el estado de Telangana. Los antecedentes agrícolas de sus padres la motivaron a seguir una UG en Horticultura (2007-2011) de SKLTSHU, fue galardonada con el ICAR-JRF para su MSc.(Hort) en el departamento de pomología en PDKV, Akola en 2011-2013. actualmente trabaja como oficial de horticultura.
