The present study aims to explore nature of Guidance needs among 11th grade institutions High School pupils and High Madrasah pupils, Science pupils and Social Science pupils, urban pupils and rural pupils, Male and female, in the district of Murshidabad of West Bengal. The descriptive survey design was adopted and simple random sampling is used for the study. The populations consist of higher secondary pupils (class XI) of Murshidabad district. Questionnaire on guidance need was distributed. Sampling Random technique was applied to collect the data among the 400 pupils. The study identifies the phenomena related to educational guidance needs for higher secondary School pupils and high Madrasah pupils, Science pupils and Social Science pupils. The complex and varied nature of the world of service pose a huge challenge to the youngest pupils today. Many pupils with higher secondary schools/Madrasahs knowledge face difficulties in making decisions due to lack of sufficient guidance, which hampers their progression.
