Anton C van Vollenhoven tem um doutoramento em Arqueologia e em História. É consultor de património e tem leccionado em arqueologia e ciências museológicas. Está associado à Universidade do Noroeste como Professor Extraordinário. É autor/apresentou mais de 80 artigos, 900 relatórios de investigação, 70 artigos, três livros e contribuiu para outros dois.
