Der Autor kommt ursprünglich aus Schleswig-Holstein und lebt mit seiner Familie seit vielen Jahren in Stockholm, wo er als Unternehmensberater arbeitet. Er ist ein großer Fan der schwedischen Krimiliteratur und hatte schon lange vor, in diesem Genre einen eigenen Beitrag zu liefern. Das Resultat ist die Serie "Die Stockholm Detektive".
