Charles Schwend, author of Dragon Dreams, Words To Read - A Collection of Short Stories, Magical Switch, The Keys - And Other Short Stories, The Palace of Virtual Reality, served twenty years in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. He co-founded The Highland League of Writers in 2008. Schwend majored in Journalism and has a specialization in Museology (The Conservation, Restoration and Preservation of Museum Artifacts.) His leisure activities include Beekeeping, Mushroom Cultivation and Wine and Cordial Making. He is married to Dolores Schwend and has two children, son Lon and daughter Dee Ann (Dormeier). He also has five grandchildren.
