Queen Quet Marquetta L. Goodwine, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation was homegrown on St. Helena, Polowana and Dataw Islands in the Gullah/Geechee Nation. Queen Quet has published over 15 books with "Gullah/Geechee Blessin pun de Sea" being the third children's book set on the Sea Islands. Queen Quet is a computer scientists, mathematician, environmental steward and "The Art-ivist." She has traveled to all fifty states of the United States and is completing all seven continents. She does Gullah/Geechee histo-musical presentations to educate the world about the cultural heritage of her people and their work to heal and protect the natural environment.
