'Macro-generation' refers to the generation or cohort of a broad area on the scale of tens of hundreds or thousands of kilometers, perhaps a study at the global scale; while 'macro-architecture' refers to the architecture of a broad area, and again, on the scale of tens of hundreds of kilometers, perhaps a study at the global scale and is said to have matured for that generation on being observed to have addressed adequately the changing factors of environment, society and technology.
