The utilization measured on the basis of direct and indirect evidences. The book comes out with the identification of six available habitats and among them lower temperate habitat as the preferred habitat. It suggests better management of the ecosystem for the healthy population of Asiatic black bear in the park to resolve conflict with humans.

Miss.Jis Sebastian has obtained her master s degree in Forestry from Forest Research Institute, India with specialisation in Wildlife Management. Since then she has worked in different national projects in the field of wildlife biology and conservation ecology. She has participated in national conferences and workshops in Forest Ecology.
