Autorenporträt
Carl McKeating and Rachel Crolla live on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and are outdoor pursuits all-rounders. They had their earliest cycling adventures together as teenagers in 1994. In the early 2000s the couple cycled Sustrans' C2C and a six day version of the Walney to Wear ride, finishing on Holy Island. In 2018 Rachel's guide to the Way of the Roses (Cicerone) was published; her work on the book inspired Carl to ride the whole 170 mile tour in day. Recently the couple have enjoyed fostering a love of cycling in their two children, including many family cycle routes in their recent book, Outdoor Adventures with Children: Lake District (Cicerone, 2019).
