The haemato-biochemical analysis has been used as a guide in the diagnosis of many diseases and in evaluating the responses to the therapy in both animals and human beings. It is also used to assess the level of stresses due to environmental and nutritional factors. Certain haematological parameters are associated with certain production traits in chicken e.g. high PCV and high haemoglobin are indicators of high feed conversion efficiency while high serum protein is an indicator of good feathering ability and tissue growth in chickens. This book presents the haematological, biochemical and electrolyte profile of Japanese quails at different stages of growth which is a baseline data for this species and this information will help in evaluation of health status, growth and diagnosis of diseases.
