Current top-news in cardiovascular research includes the contribution of biomarkers and genetics in coronary artery diseases. Acute coronary syndrome and stable coronary artery disease are two clinical conditions arising from a spectrum of the same disease. This study was conducted to compare various natural haemostatic markers and some prothrombotic genes between the two clinical conditions. Some clinical data of the patients were also included. The study found a significant difference in the biological behaviour of prothrombotic activities during acute and stable conditions. All the laboratory methods were described clearly in the relevant chapter. This book is suitable for people working in Haematology and Cardiovascular research. It is also recommended as a reference book to the hematologists, scientists and technologists working in laboratory especially dealing with molecular genetic and coagulation tests.
