Mahmoud Yazbak, Ph.D. (1992) in History, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, is Lecturer in Middle Eastern History at the University of Haifa. Often prompted by the rich potential of the sijill as a historical source, he publishes on many issues relating to the social history of Palestine.
