Tony is a retired construction industry professional who has worked in Australia ,Hong Kong, the USA and the Middle East. He has extensive experience through out Asia including Hong Kong, China, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and India. He is married with two children and three grand children. The first draft of "Half a man" was written in 1990 while Tony was working in the USA, living in Portland Oregon. The first chapters set in the battlefields of France was based on an essay Tony wrote in high school. The Murrindindi valley that feature prominently in the book is where Tony runs a cattle farm. The poetry in the book was written by Tony. Tony is writing a second book about the clash between Australian indigenous culture with the greed of others for their traditional tribal land.
