Rachel, with the help of her mother and a mentor from the Custodians of the Luminous Codex, manages to defeat the Shadow Weavers and protect the town. The story culminates in a final confrontation with the spirit of Rachel's twin sister, who had been manipulating Rachel from beyond the veil. Emma, with the help of Rachel's spirit and a benevolent spirit trapped within the mask, manages to free Rachel's twin and restore balance to the town.
