HAMPTON 3 is a lighthearted look at the real experiences of an 18 year old Freshman boy in 1964. It focuses on his dorm life, the students he meets, and the antics they share. It was a time when social media consisted of a pay telephone or a 5 cent stamp on a letter. You had to learn to adapt to living with new people, unlike any you had met before, and in some cases, you will never meet again. If you have ever gone away to camp, private school, or college, you will relate to some of these experiences. Even if you haven't, you will enjoy this book and chuckle, as it takes you back 50 years to a somewhat simpler time. Yes, a lot has changed in all that time, but yet, some people and experiences you can still witness today.

Autorenporträt
The author grew up in a small country town, during the 1950's, when cows outnumbered people. Like the other kids in school, he walked to school every day and walked home for lunch. There was no school lunch in grade school. Since he lived on a hill on one side of town and school was on a hill on the other side of town, he ended up walking up hill both ways. During his school years, he would add a little humor to book reports when he could. He liked to find the funny side of things. After working a number of years, he began doing roasts for people who were retiring. He has also written several eulogies celebrating the person's life looking at their serious side and their humorous side. When he was invited to his 50th college class reunion in 2018, he began to jot down some of the experiences he had. Since most of them were from his Freshman year, he decided to capture them in a book for others to enjoy.
