Produktbeschreibung
Hand trauma is a significant component of plastic and orthopaedic surgery. Despite this significant overlap, hand surgery remains a mainstay of plastic surgery centres around the UK and internationally. With significant numbers of patients attending A&E, trauma clinics and theatre lists, the management of hand trauma is a fundamentally important part of plastic surgery and the NHS. Although hand anatomy is covered comprehensively at medical school, the pathophysiology of hand trauma and its subsequent management is often less extensively covered. Junior doctors in A&E and as plastic surgery trainees can therefore be initially overwhelmed. To amend this, we have written a logical and focused book to guide the reader through the seemingly murky waters of hand trauma in a clear and stepwise manner, in the hope that they will avoid the mistakes we have made. We have covered anatomy and used clinical vignettes where helpful.
