Children with special health care needs (CSHCN) are those who have disabilities that affect daily life activities, influence the delivery of dental care and must deserved anticipatory guidance and prevention. They made a challenge for dentists with physical, medical, social, and communication limitations that require the modification of customary dental practice. Oral health care and dental management of children with special health care needs require pre-treatment planning and proper assessment, including scheduling appointments at appropriate times performing a consultation with all involved parties including paediatric dentist, physicians, social workers and caretakers, and appropriate patient communication. Disabled population has a higher prevalence of dental caries, poor oral hygiene, and compromised gingival and periodontal health. Some factors such as fear, anxiety and dental phobia plays a vital role in acceptance and delaying the dental care. Therefore, it is emphasizedto provide a basic dental needs and establish a treatment plan for those who have some common developmental disabilities and medically compromised states by making this dissertation.
