The Hanford Amtrak Station is a train station in Hanford, California served by Amtrak. It was built by the San Francisco and San Joaquin Valley Railway and is one of only three SF&SJV stations left in existence. Of the 73 California stations served by Amtrak, Hanford was the 20th-busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of approximately 500 passengers daily. The National Railroad Passenger Corporation, doing business as Amtrak, is a government-owned corporation that was organized on May 1, 1971, to provide intercity passenger train service in the United States.
