The 20th century was a century of totalitarianism and genocide. In this work, I argue that there is a meaningful relationship between the two, namely by applying Hannah Arendt's theory of totalitarianism to the Anfal (literaly ''spoils of war'') and Ba'athism in Iraq, they offer the example of the relationship between genocide and totalitarianism. This should bring about a better understanding of the features and motivations of a totalitarian genocide. A major finding of this book is that genocide is a function of totalitarianism.
