José Luís Sánchez Iglesias es un historiador y novelista nacido en Salamanca. Posee una sólida formación académica, con diplomatura en Educación, licenciatura en Geografía e Historia, y un doctorado en Historia Medieval por la Universidad de Salamanca. Su labor académica incluye conferencias y ponencias, así como contribuciones a libros de historia, como 'Salamanca y su alfoz en la Edad Media: Siglos XII y XIII' (Ediciones Diputación de Salamanca, 2003) y 'Los señores del azogue: Un viaje a la Salamanca medieval de finales del siglo XIII' (Fundación Salamanca Ciudad de Cultura, 2007). Como novelista, ha escrito varias obras, incluyendo 'El último caballero pardo' (Editorial Alcalá, 2009), una novela histórica ambientada en la Salamanca medieval del siglo XII. Su segunda novela, 'La cuarta loba' (Editorial Alcalá, 2013), se desarrolla durante la revolución comunera en Salamanca. 'El fantasma de las Torres' (Editorial Amarante, 2014) representa su incursión en la novela policiaca, con escenario en la Salamanca contemporánea. Además, su novela histórica 'Bajo las garras de las águilas' (Editorial Alcalá, 2018) se centra en la segunda guerra celtibérica. En el año 2021 publicó "El salvador del Imperio, Flavio Aecio" y en 2022 'Los enemigos de César' con la editorial Almuzara.
