Happiness on the Blue Dot is a global adventure, travel journal, and, most importantly, an insightful collection of conversations about life. From Asia, Europe, South America, Africa, and the Middle East, psychotherapist Lisa Marranzino takes us along on her four-year journey to discover what lies at the heart of personal happiness. As she traveled, Lisa encouraged people to share their ideas about life, death, love and more. Tango dancers in Buenos Aires. A prostitute in Amsterdam. A tracker in the wilderness of Africa. A survivor of the Killing Fields. A man who made peace with his kidnappers during the Arab Spring. With the backdrop of their exotic locations, these and other amazing people share their intimate stories and the personal philosophies they developed in times of prosperity and despair. Lisa set off on this journey after noticing a growing number of clients in her private practice reporting a feeling of just "going through the motions" in life. Lisa was beginning to feel the same way herself. So she decided to break away from the familiar, explore other cultures, and gather fresh ways of thinking about life. Happiness on the Blue Dot shares her discoveries and reveals how readers can find their own brands of personal happiness.
