L.B. Brady is a southern woman, born and raised in northern Alabama in the late 1940s. Like most women in the sixties, she married shortly after high school and began raising her family. Four children later, when her youngest started kindergarten in 1989, L.B. Brady began working on a project. Little did she know this project would turn into the "Happy Birthday, Beth" series and span across the next 25+ years. She began writing and had almost finished one complete book, but life became busy and the book was put aside. After sitting on a shelf collecting dust for over a decade, she decided to continue working. Shortly thereafter, the one book became two, then three, and now she is currently writing number four. Her large family, strong southern roots, and a lifetime of stories and influences from growing up in the South yields an abundance of creativity that is evident in her writing.
