With a career in academia nearing 20 years, I feel an obligation to lay down my knowledge, experience and pedagogical methods of work to help other younger academicians get a readymade set of practical exercises pertinent to hardware, so as students can work on them rapidly and acquire significant ICT skills as beginners, especially at university levels of courses. I have devised a format of presentation applicable to many exercises, so that academicians and trainers can find each exercise cohesively self-standing and easy to understand. Of course, the topics of practical laid forward remain matters of appreciation by other academicians, who retain their discretions of adapting the exercises as they feel suitable. Suggestions of practice time along with team composition is made. It is advisable for academicians to review these, along with considerations of marking strategies, as and when students progress deeper into the practical. In all, 35 such practical exercises have been devised in this manuscript.
