With 50 years of pastoral and expository teaching experience, Hoffmann has agonized over this important issue in the front lines. He does not approach the issue adversarially, but in "Harmony", points to a genuine resolution of something that roils church and society. He has international experience: South African born, he emigrated to the USA in 1988. He has served churches in South Africa, Zimbabwe and the USA. He led week-long Bible Studies in England, Australia, the Philippines (for Wycliffe Bible Translators) and in the USA; led Pastor's Conferences; taught in the International Leadership Academy (a discontinued "boot camp" developed by Campus Crusade for Christ to fill the leadership vacuum left by 70 years of Communist persecution) in Moscow, Russia and Minsk, Belorussia. The idea was vibrant and spread to Managua, Nicaragua where he was also an associate. Hoffmann draws from the richness of He has been contentedly married in a harmonious relationship for 58 years. He is retired and lives in Santa Barbara CA.
