Billy Peterson has been in the financial services industry since 1996 after a rewarding career as a horse racing jockey. In 1995, the year before he retired, he led all jockeys nationally in Quarter Horse earnings. He worked for several multi-national investment firms before opening his own financial planning firm in 2009 - Peterson Wealth Services Inc. Billy received his BA from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1995 and later obtained both the CFP and CDFA designations. He has been selected as a Forbes Best-in-State Financial Advisor and also has been named to the Barron's list of Top Advisors. He has appeared in The Wall Street Journal online, KUTV-4 News, and his articles have been published in several national and local magazines. During his racing career he was frequently featured on ESPN, TNT, TVG and other nation-wide networks and radio shows. His biggest accomplishments are being the proud father of five wonderful children and being married to the love of his life, Heather. He resides in Morgan, Utah with his family where he raises quarter horses, coaches the High School Softball team and teaches his children the value of hard work and financial freedom.
