Autorenporträt
After visiting Harpers Ferry and falling in love with its history and beauty, Prof. James A. Beckman and his wife, Maria, (along with their beloved dog, Mickey) moved to the town in 1997. Though he is now a tenured professor at the University of Tampa, they continue to spend time at their Harpers Ferry home. Beckman has lectured and published articles on the town's history and served as an artist-in-residence for the Harpers Ferry Historical Park in 2001.
