Harry Michael Fanok III (born May 11, 1940, at Whippany, New Jersey) is a retired American professional baseball player, a right-handed pitcher who was nicknamed "The Flame Thrower" for his blazing fastball. Fanok made 16 appearances, all in relief, for the 1963 1964 St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball, but he sustained a career-shortening injury to his throwing arm in August 1963 while pitching for the Triple-A Atlanta Crackers. The 6 ft (1.8 m), 180 lb (82 kg) Fanok signed with St. Louis in 1959 after attending what is now the Morristown-Beard School and Hanover Park High School, where he was a baseball standout.
