Irene R. Meyers is the historian for both the town of Hastings and the village of Central Square and is on the board of the Fort Brewerton Historical Society. She has served the town as town supervisor for four years and as a member of the town council for six years. The author of other historical works, she has lived on a local farm for more than half a century.
