Autorenporträt
Elizabeth Price (known to her friends as Liz) is Scottish and was brought up in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire. She moved to Arbroath when she was 17 and then went on to study MA French and German at The University of Edinburgh. Elizabeth moved to England when she was 25 and has lived there ever since. Elizabeth started her career as a primary school teacher in 1994. During this time, her favourite subjects to teach were Literacy, Art, Music and Values Education. Elizabeth plays the guitar and found this skill to be invaluable as a teacher. The pupils loved singing her songs - often with a Scottish accent! Elizabeth retired from teaching in December 2017 in order to write and illustrate her first book 'The Meadow Farm Band'. Since its launch, Elizabeth has enjoyed visiting schools as an author/illustrator - taking her guitar, of course! The book teaches the value of inclusion, and she has planned and delivered lots of different writing, PSHE and art activities linked to the story. Teachers and pupils have shown their appreciation of Elizabeth's visits through letters of thanks, word of mouth and reviews. Elizabeth's second book 'The Meadow Farm Talent Show' teaches the value of confidence.
